U3A Casey Line Dancing — Our line dancers are amazing !!

The Tuesday beginners group at Hallam Hall in Frawley Road are now settled and happy in the new hall, with plenty of room for everyone.

After 12 sessions this year, our new line dancers have 13 dances under their belts.  Quite an achievement.

Our Friday line dancers from Lynbrook Community Centre are doing incredibly well.   We’ve recovered from the disruption to our class during Covid restrictions last year, and now have 32 dances that we have learnt……

Some of our group ventured out for a “Social” evening of line dancing in March, joining in with approx. 100 local line dancers at a “ChillOut Social” organised by Darren Mitchell in Hampton Park for less experienced dancers to have the experience of dancing in a very large group.

We had loads of fun and are looking forward to the next Social in July.

Line dancing is so much fun – such an easy way to exercise without feeling like you’re exercising!

It’s one of the healthiest activities, for both body AND the brain.  You make so many lovely new friends too.

We enjoy a range of different kinds of music.

It takes several weeks to get your ‘dancing brain’ working, patience pays dividends and you find yourself dancing without thinking before you know it.  Making mistakes is great fun, always, and there’s nothing like enjoying a good laugh with friends.

Fun, laughter, exercise, new friends – what more could we ask for?
