This new course is being run by Karen Oakley from My Yoga Therapies, and is offering a 4 week course from 9th March at Berwick Senior Citizens Hall on Thursdays at 1.30pm.
Hatha Yoga classes typically include: warm ups , gentle stretching and basic classical postures (asanas), designed to stretch, strengthen and tone your body, deep breathing exercises, which re-energise your body, relax and help release stress. The classes are non competitive and suitable for any age.
The only requirement is to have a moderate level of fitness and be able to get up and down off the floor unaided. (If you are unsure of your fitness to take part, please check with your doctor.)
BYO: Yoga mat (some available at the venue), strap (similar to man’s tie), small pillow and light blanket. Good idea to bring a water bottle.
