U3A Casey Line Dancing
Music, much needed exercise, laughter, and lots of fun – you’ll enjoy all of these at our line dancing classes. And, most importantly, line dancing is a great way to make friends. We have a new class at Hallam Hall, aimed at new beginners plus anyone else, and at Lynbrook Community Centre we have an established lively group.   It takes several weeks before you start to get the hang of it, learning to line dance doesn’t happen overnight!   Just be patient, turn up, and before you know it you’ll be amazed at how many dances you can do.
Interestingly, research has shown that dancing actually makes you smarter……… a study of seniors found it can reduce the risk of dementia by 76%, and can be more beneficial than doing crosswords, reading, swimming or playing golf !!!That study also concluded that dancing:

  • reduces stress and depression
  • increases energy
  • improves flexibility, strength, balance
  • strengthens bones and boosts cardiovascular health
  • increases mental capacity
  • creates new neural paths

All you really need to know is that line dancing is loads of fun and can be highly addictive!Join us at your own risk…….. and…..before you know it…. you’ll be hooked !
